I'm embarking on a 30 days of self confidence challenge. In exactly one year I went from being the woman who worked the room and spoke to everyone to a mouse who hid in the corner and didn't talk to anyone. I've decided to stop hiding and take my spot back in the light. Join me on my journey and share your thoughts.

Day 1: Self grooming is important

"How you look matters. Not in a petty, superficial way, but because how you look reflects how you feel, and how you feel affects how you perform in all areas of your life." - Kathy Phillips

Day 2: Today is important - dress up for it

"Dressing nicely does wonders for your 'self-confidence, self-respect and self-esteem".

Day 3: Stop comparing yourself to others

“Enjoy your own life without comparing it with that of another.” – Marquis de Condorcet

Day 4: Think positive!

"A positive person anticipates happiness, health, success, and believes he or she can overcome any obstacle and difficulty."

Day 5: Stop complaining!

"If you continue behaving like a victim, you can never be a leader."

Day 6: Get to know yourself‏

“As you learn who you are, you gain confidence in your strength and also learn your weaknesses” – Angela Brit.

Day 7: Smile‏‏

Every time you smile at someone, it is an action of love, a gift to that person, a beautiful thing. — Mother Teresa

Day 8 and 9: Create a new habit‏

Quality is not an act, it is a habit. — Aristotle

Day 10: Appreciate yourself‏

“A man cannot be comfortable without his own approval.” – Mark Twain

Day 11: Cut off negative ties‏

“Surround yourself with people who believe in your dreams, encourage your ideas, support your ambitions, and bring out the best in you.” ― Roy Bennett
